Adi Hütter: “Overall, the number of away wins used to be around 20 per cent – that’s now risen to 50 per cent because games are basically taking place at neutral venues. That shows how important it is for clubs to play in front of their own supporters. As Eintracht Frankfurt, we in particular have often benefitted from the fans’ support in games where things weren’t going well. That said, we’ll do our best tomorrow to get our first home win since the league was suspended. I saw Schalke's game against Leverkusen. They showed great character and were aggressive, sharp, ran a lot and conceded few chances. They’re uncomfortable to play against in midfield in particular. I’m expecting an attractive game with a lot of challenges and a high tempo, and I hope we’ll have the edge over them. It’s our duty to stay motivated. As professional footballers, it would be mad for us to play for fun just because we’re safe from relegation. We showed in Berlin that we want to win all our games and are aiming for nine points between now and the end of the season. We need to rotate. By the end of the season we’ll have played nine games in 29 days – and 104 matches over the course of two seasons. No team in Europe has played more games than us and we still only have one injury, which is why the medical department and fitness coaches deserve great credit.”

Despite winning their last three away games in a row, Frankfurt are on their worst home run of the Hütter era with just one point from the last 12 available.
