Venice has never won in the last 5 trips to Salerno (2-3-0), that is from 0-1 of 2000 (when Venice ended 4th in Serie B behind Chievo and in front of Samp, while Venezia finished 15th in front of Pistoiese, Ravenna, Treviso and Monza)!
Gianmarco Zigoni has only played 150 minutes for Venice and for months he has even been out pink (with Zenga). The lagoons seemed to be doomed in the last round (2-0 in Carpi ... already relegated), but Cosmi threw Zigoni into the fray, who, without even warming up ... he signed a sensational triple (2-3, but he was 2-1 at the 89 °)!
Thus Venice celebrated salvation by remaining unbeaten in the last three rounds, or so he hoped. President Tacopina said "its a great relief not to have to play in the play-offs" and obviously in Salerno they will have celebrated salvation. This play-out seems really paradoxical (were the players already on vacation?), But Salernitana knows that she must win at least one race ... and she knows that she does not win since February!
